Other Delights-08

Other Delights is a series of small wall ceramic sculptures. These sculptures play with the visual illusion of three-dimensional space on three-dimensional forms. A visual push-pull effect is created that leaves the viewer with a sense of suspended expectation. These sculptures are influenced by Minimalist painters, such as Ellsworth Kelly, playing on shaped canvases, as well as Byzantine Icons. Using the small scale of an Icon allows the viewer to experience and intimate almost religious experience with the sculptures.
